WedNEWSday 26 March 2025

26th Mar 2025

Good afternoon parents,

This is the final WedNEWSday sway in March! It is hard to believe where the time has gone but it is lovely to see brighter evenings, daffodils sprouting and a little bit of heat.

Have you noticed our lovely new planters at the front of school? Thank you to our brilliant Eco Club who have been working very hard with Mrs McCullough, Mrs Bovill and Miss Furphy to produce wonderful arrangements for our planters. These were kindly made for us by Saintfield Men's Shed.

Our trim trail is getting some final preparations and we hope to be able to get using this after Easter so the pupils (and staff) are very excited about getting outside to experience this.

Thank you to our school staff, both teachers and assistants who have been busy coming to work early to organise and accompany the walking buses to celebrate the Big Walk and Wheel. The pupils seem to be thoroughly enjoying this so far! Thank you for accompanying your P1-P3 pupils and any scooting or biking children. This helps lower the risk for the staff.

You will find attached, information about SAFER SCHOOLS NI. Mrs Sims has shared this letter before but it is worth another plug. Safer Schools NI is an extremely useful resource for parents in the digital age. I would encourage all parents to download and register on the app (all information is in the parent letter). Keep your notifications on and you will receive up to date information from the app. We have also added a new E Safety page in the PARENTS section of our website HERE

Don't forget to follow us on facebook and on our school website:

Have a lovely week everyone,
