Staffing Update for the 2025–2026 Academic Year

Following several staffing changes, I am pleased to share the confirmed class structure for the upcoming academic year.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the Board of Governors for their dedication and support in helping us shape such a strong and committed team.

We are thrilled to welcome two new permanent members to our AMPS team: Miss Bailie and Miss Todd, who both secured permanent teaching positions during the 2024–2025 school year.

We’re also delighted that Miss Furphy will continue her excellent work with our Primary 1 team, and Mr McCarter will be joining our experienced Primary 6 team.

Next year, Mrs. Van Giesen will be working under a flexible arrangement, teaching on Thursdays and Fridays. She will be partnering with Mrs. Martin in Primary 6 to provide a strong and supportive learning environment alongside Mr McCarter.

As previously announced, Mrs. Bovill will take on the role of SENCO for 2025–2026, following the retirement of Mrs. Hanafin. Mrs Bovill will be teaching as part of the P4 team alongside Miss Savage and Miss Wright. We are deeply grateful to Mrs. Hanafin for her 31 years of outstanding service—she has been a guiding light for staff and a true champion for our children. She will be greatly missed.

We’re excited to welcome back Miss Dawson, who returns to Primary 1 after her maternity leave. It will be wonderful to have her back with us.

We are delighted that Mrs. Atherton also rejoins our team after a career break and will be working alongside Mrs. Ambrose in Primary 3. Her return coincides with Mrs. McCullough beginning her maternity leave—we look forward to celebrating the arrival of her new baby in mid-July!
