To finish our Frozen Planet topic we investigated the best way to keep ice from melting.
We looked at different materials and conducted a scientific investigation. We made 'jackets' for our ice and observed the cubes. We recorded our findings and could talk about how 'layers' kept the warm classroom air out.
We made the link that polar animals have their own 'layers' to keep the cold air and water out, and that our water bottles are doing the same job.
