P2 Numeracy – Exploring Teen Numbers!

In Primary 2, we have been working hard and enjoying our learning as we explore teen numbers in numeracy.

We’ve been using lots of different resources such as 20 frames, Numicon, and cubes to help us understand that a teen number is made up of “a ten and some more.”
For example:

• 15 = one group of ten and five more.

We enjoyed playing an exciting game of Follow Me, where we had to identify our number and then find the person with a different teen number. It was great fun and very exciting as we tried to get faster and faster identifying the numbers. It’s been a fantastic way to build confidence with numbers while having fun together!
