Andrews had 21 competitors competing in the Ulster Teams Event in Banbridge.
With only 1 of last year's Ulster winning team remaining the girls had a lot to live up to but boy did they deliver!
The girls played brilliantly with great determination and skill but were eventually beaten in the final.
A fantastic performance from all of the team. The 3 girls who made their debut at this tournament did a great job!
Over to the boys now.
The A team cruised into the knock out stages winning their group matches.
In the 1/4 finals they were faced with a very strong Strandtown B team. The boys fought valiantly but unfortunately lost 3-1.
A fantastic performance from all 4 boys who played with skills beyond their years and supported each other as only Andrews pupils know how.
The B team played very well in their group matches recording some good wins.
The boys fought their way to the plate 1/4 finals were they were narrowly defeated by a very strong Strandtown C team.
Again the boys played with grit and determination and should be very proud of their performances. Demonstrating great sportsmanship with every match.
The C team had mixed fortunes in the group stages but with some super wins progressed to the knock out stages of the plate.
They faced a very strong Castledawson team in the 1/4 finals.
The boys fought very hard but unfortunately just missed out on the win.
The boys were a credit to Andrews and showed real courage and team spirit through the tournament.
The D team again played some very skillful table tennis throughout the group stages.
The team recorded some impressive individual wins which helped the team progress to the knock out stages of the plate.
They met Edenderry in the 1/4 finals.
The boys played with tenacity and increasing confidence. But the curse of the 1/4 finals struck again and the boys were defeated.
The boys had a fantastic tournament with 2 members making their debut at the tournament.
All in all, a fantastic tournament for Andrews.
The children's skills, sportsmanship and manners made Mrs Sims a very proud teacher.
