AMPS School Council – Giving Every Pupil a Voice

At AMPS, we believe that every pupil should have a voice in shaping our school community. Our School Council provides an important platform for pupils to share ideas, influence decisions, and make positive changes.

Each year, two representatives from every class in P4–P7 are elected to the council. The process is democratic and inclusive: pupils complete a detailed application form, present their ideas to their classmates, and take part in a class election. This helps develop confidence, leadership, and communication skills.

The School Council meets regularly throughout the year to discuss ways to improve school life, from learning experiences to playground activities and community projects. All pupils are encouraged to contribute suggestions, which councillors bring to meetings for discussion. After each meeting, councillors share feedback with their classes so everyone stays informed and involved.

Through teamwork and collaboration, our School Council ensures that pupil voices are heard and acted upon. Together, we work to make AMPS the best it can be!
