House Captains

At AMPS, every pupil belongs to a house from the very first day they arrive.

The houses compete against each other to win the all important house points. We have lots of different competitions and opportunities for pupils to win points for their house throughout the year. From art competitions, cross country races, writing competitions and sports day - there is something for every pupil to get involved in! House points are also given for pupils of the week and in class time for positive behaviour and effort.

Our four houses are proudly named after four people from Northern Ireland who have had brilliant achievements.

Heaney

Burnell

Branagh

Peters

Each house has three captains in P5-P7, carefully voted for by their classmates.

Some of the key responsibilities of our House Captains include:

-Being a role model and positive example to all pupils throughout the school.
-Working alongside other House Captains and staff.
-Assisting in the planning, organisation and judging of House competitions.
-Count House points.
-To wear the House Captain’s badge with pride.
