P6 Take Part in Safer Internet Day Activities

4th Feb 2026

Today, our P6 pupils took a fascinating dive into the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI). We explored what AI is, how it works, and the many ways it is already part of our daily lives—from voice assistants and search tools to games, maps, and creativity apps.

The class discussed how AI is shaping and changing the world, helping people work more efficiently, solve problems, and access information quickly. Pupils shared great examples from home and school, showing just how familiar these technologies have become.

We also looked carefully at some of the challenges and risks that come with AI, including the importance of staying safe online, protecting personal information, and understanding that AI can sometimes get things wrong.

One of our key takeaways was the importance of remembering to double?check anything AI generates, and to always think critically about the information we read or see.

The pupils were engaged, curious and full of thoughtful questions—an excellent start to our Safer Internet Day learning!
