February 2017

With Spring just around the corner - we hope - and the brighter mornings, we turn our thoughts to getting active with our travel to school again.  We were delighted to host our by now familiar and popular Bike Buses along with a healthy breakfast - no better way to start a Friday!  Thanks to all the children, parents and staff for their unswerving support - it wasn't much of a day weather-wise, but we all had fun.  We even had on of next year's P1 children joining us - she's very keen!  The Big Pedal approaches, so keep an eye out for more news on our annual virtual bike race...

Valentine's Day comes just before we break up for half-term, so what better present for the one you love than...

A fresh sausage roll from P2, that's what!

Delicious, warm, just the right size to allow space for another; the perfect gift...

Still, we have to work out in what order to use the ingredients...

See the twitter feed for more conclusive evidence as to the quality of these yummy snacks...

And finally for this half-term, some more pictures, first of P4 pupils grappling with dinosaurs - not actually grappling with them as such, but with their size, hence the need for coats, the playground and big measuring sticks!  We follow that with appropriately Valentines's Day themed shortbread from P1 - delicious and so much better than a card, certainly to eat at least!

We wonder who you'd give yours to?

Happy holiday from all of us - see you next Thursday!
